BADGER FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION APRIL NEWSLETTER

The Badger Firefighters Association Spring Rapid Intervention Team training was very successful according to the 26 instructors and 60+ participants. Unfortunately the “Slinger RIT House” has become
unusable with some major structure failures. We are grateful to the Sheboygan County Training Officers for allowing us to use some of their training props and the Slinger Fire Department for being the host
site. We ran 10 stations with 15 scenarios taking place. We have attached some pictures for those that would like to see how this program offers an awesome training with safety as primary concern.

The board of officers met recently at the Cascade Fire Station to formulate plans for our Annual Spring Banquet/Meeting and Awards Presentation on Sunday, April 25 th at the NEW Cascade Fire Station. Before April 15 so the Awards Committee can make their choices.

Our Secretary was honored to present a plaque to Harold Krebs of the St. Lawrence Fire Company for being a member for 75 years! Harold was active in responding for 50 plus years. He continues his support of the fire company with being a leader in selling raffle tickets and much more. As Harold said at the fire company’s Appreciation Banquet, “there is no better
feeling than to be able to help someone else when they need help.”

As of the 23rd of March the U.S. Fire Administration has recognized 36 fellow brothers and sisters that have died in the line of duty since January 1, 2021 in our country. Prayers and thoughts are expressed by our association with a letter of condolences sent to each department that experiences a Line of Duty Death.
